Summary [iPad] Gamepad API compatibility issue in Fullscreen mode

Created attachment 478853 [details] Gamepad API test on Fullscreen On iPadOS, when a web page enters Fullscreen, the Gamepad API stops reporting several buttons that should be present under the W3C “standard” mapping. Specifically, in Fullscreen mode the following buttons are not recognized / not delivered via navigator.getGamepads() state updates: Button index 4 — Top left front button (typically Left Bumper / L1) Button index 5 — Top right front button (typically Right Bumper / R1) Button index 6 — Bottom left front button (typically Left Trigger / L2) Button index 7 — Bottom right front button (typically Right Trigger / R2) Outside Fullscreen mode, these buttons are recognized as expected (or at least behave differently than in Fullscreen). This appears to be a compatibility issue specific to Fullscreen state, and it breaks pages that rely on the standard mapping behavior. Expected: In Fullscreen mode, WebKit should continue to report all buttons required/defined by the standard mapping, including indices 4–7. Actual: In Fullscreen mode, indices 4–7 do not register as pressed / do not update. Reference: W3C Gamepad “standard” mapping type <https://www.w3.org/TR/gamepad/#dom-gamepadmappingtype-standard>

Reported on iOS 26 - Can you confirm the latest version, iOS 26.4? And, if you know, did you see this on iOS 25?
