Ryosuke Niwa
Reported 2017-05-16 20:27:14 PDT
SVG use elements update its shadow tree while updating the style. This is safe because we don't execute any author scripts during this work.

Closing as fixed by bug 180729, 196678@main. Comment #0 asked to suppress the assertion while use elements update their shadow tree during style update. Bug 178845 did add those suppressions in October 2017, but 180729 removed them again that December by updating the shadow trees explicitly before style recalc. The five ScriptDisallowedScope::EventAllowedScope scopes in SVGUseElement.cpp today are not this: line 270 is from 194791@main, and 301, 531, 564 and 600 are from 242348 in 2022, which extended the assertion to UA shadow tree updates during style resolution. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 180729 ***
