inputMethodStateForElement in Source/WebKit/WebProcess/WebPage/glib/WebPageGLib.cpp reads the inputmode attribute with HTMLElement::canonicalInputMode() for textarea and contenteditable elements. For <input> elements it doesn't, the purpose comes from the input type alone. This means that the input method might be given the wrong purpose, and inputmode="none" does not add WEBKIT_INPUT_HINT_INHIBIT_OSK, which is the standard way for a page to say it provides its own editor.
