If you toggle overflow: hidden and start clicking on a cell or selecting some text on the table, it takes more time that without overflow: hidden (for example by looking at the WebInspector timeline). The difference in time depends on the size of table. On a 10,000 * 100 table, it's nearly instantaneous to hit test without overflow: hidden but it takes in the order of a second if you add overflow: hidden. This is very similar to bug 75001 except that bug 75001 covers the painting and this bug is about hit testing.
